After ten years of teaching Art and Textiles in Secondary Schools in Oxford and the Cotswolds, the birth of my daughter gave me the exciting opportunity to explore my love of making on a bigger scale. Unable to find bright coloured, hard wearing clothing in the high street shops, my magpie like tendencies of hoarding fabric and jars of buttons could finally be put to good use and with the aid of my young daughter as ‘design test dummy’, a sewing machine and the spare room, ‘Buttons’ was born.
As my daughter grows, becoming more adventurous and loving being outside; tipi’s, fairy lights and bunting are also making appearances in my product range. Where I go next is yet to unfold but without doubt, it will be bold, it will be bright and there will definitely be an appearance of an unusual button or two.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
